Tom Gold was born in 1976 in Scotland. He studied at the illustration course in Edinburgh and then at the Royal College of Art in London. In 2001 he and Simone Lia organized a small publishing house Cabanon Press, where they have began to publish their own books. Tom Gold now works with such publications as The New Yorker, The Believer, The New York Times and Granta. For several years now he has been drawing a comic series for every Saturday edition of the newspaper The Guardian. Moreover, over the last year the largest independent Canadian comic book publisher Drawn and Quarterly has printed two of his book.
